There’s a real nip in the air this morning. It must be Autumn. That means we’re back singing THIS THURSDAY Sept 10th 7.30pm. You’ll find the updated programme for this term on the second page. We hope you find it exciting.
It was decided after we had the results of the questionnaire to stay at our current venue for now. That is at Friends Meeting House Bean St, HU3 2PR.
There are some dates to note in your diary. On Thursday there will be tickets available for the Chechelele gig. It was such a great workshop last year with some of us joining Chechelele in a couple of songs on stage at the evening performance in Kardomah94. Tickets are £15 for the whole workshop and performance or a £5 ticket just for the evening performance if friends and relatives want to watch. We have a limit on numbers so get in quick!
We have been asked to perform at the Amnesty concert on October 14thso we will need to give them an answer as soon as we can. It was felt that we needed a rehearsal for this so we have asked Jack who can be available on the previous Sunday. Look out for the sign up sheet on Thursday or reply to this e-mail. Can you let us know where your preferred part is please ie top, middle or bottom just to see if we have the range of voices.
Another project we have been asked to get involved in is the Massed Choir piece composed by our very own Laurence Rugg and performed on March 22nd 2016. Stan Kell is going to come and give us a 5 minute explanation of the project this week. We’ll take some notes for those not present. Again we need to gauge interest so there will be a sign up sheet.
The new website is up and running thanks to Jill. It’s being updated all the time so bookmark the news page. If you’re a facebook addict please like our page and don’t forget to post any news, pictures on there.
See you all Thursday
Cath, on behalf of Val, Debbie, Ros, Rosie, Sue and Jill.
